Matthew Lewis

STORY STRATEGIST

Matthew Lewis (he/him), Story Strategist. A Black Queer poet, R&B enthusiast, and playlist scholar from the Sherman Park neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI. Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from UW-Madison, with a certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies. As a writer, Matthew enjoys tending to the softest and most intimate aspects of Black life, Black Queer Joy, and the possibilities of a world where Black folk can breathe easy. Matthew has worked in the public health and nonprofit sectors for the past seven years. Outside of this work, Matthew is a certified yoga instructor, an intimacy doula certified through the National Black Doulas Association, and the creator of the Black Molasses writing space. Matthew is an avid wrestling fan, a dinosaur nerd, and a monster movie connoisseur.
