WE ARE  FREELANCE FREEDOM FIGHTERS

Fostering research based accountability to create an equitable world

EVALUATION

We evaluate programs and initiatives as opportunities to create more equitable communities for the historically oppressed and traditionally marginalized.

Some examples include:

  • Program quality and outcome assessment to include strategic planning

  • Organizational practice and policy assessment against goals

  • Formative evaluation of college access programming during pilot year

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT & PROGRAM DESIGN

We design programming for young people and adults that promotes critical thinking and develops analytical skills to increase individual and collective capacity to create a just and equitable world.

We co-write curriculum with teachers, school leaders, out-of-school-time programmers and others to address specific content areas including but not limited to: African-American History, Food Justice, Social Emotional Learning, and Cooperative Economics.

Some examples include:

  • Year long trainings for a school wide professional learning communities focused on dignity

  • Cooperative business development through curriculum based instruction

  • Development of 12 week college and career program for 16-24 year olds

  • Creation of Black history scope and sequence for K-8 educators

FACILITATION

We facilitate focus groups, professional development and learning spaces, as well as trainings for young people and adults that motivate, innovate, challenge, and inspire.

Some examples include:

  • Stakeholder focus groups to inform strategic planning

  • Workshops and In-Services, both one-time and series, for as many as 150 participants

  • Engaging large group opening sessions for staff retreats, program institutes, and youth camps

ADVISING

We advise educators, organizational leaders, and nonprofit administrators to increase their capacity to challenge everyone in their communities to consciously work against systemic oppression.

Some examples include:

  • Radical Accountability for Creating Equity through Dignity (R.A.C.E Through Dignity) for adults and youth

  • Youth-Adult Partnership coaching to assist in infusing youth voice through structure and facilitation in youth focused spaces

  • Pre-service culturally responsive practice sessions with new educators
